Moral Compass

Our moral system depends on ether what has been pounded into our heads by parents and other people who can have affects on our lives or what we have done and or learned from our culture in the short time we have been on earth . All people no matter who they are have some what different ideas of what morals are , and I think as long as the person respects there own morals and doest try and force them on anyone and they respect others for who they are and not what the believe in I think that every ones beliefs are equally acceptable. Who is to say what is right and what is wrong and what moral guidelines we should abide by ? There are different people from business men to street people , and they not going to have the same morals . A street person who has stolen his whole life to get by would have no problem taking a wallet found in a parking lot, while on the other hand a person who has had everything set out for them and is making 5 to 6 figures a year would probably look in the wallet for id and call the person to give it back . I really really hope that my morals wont change at this point I think that what i believe in makes me some what good part of society , but if they do chance it will because of what job i get or who I might start to hang out with , besides that your morals should not change that much because they are they things that show other people what kind of person you are.

The metaphorical "line in the sand " is a kinda of time line of a life because the further back you go the harder and more blurry your perspective on the past gets.His thought shows that he believes that you go back to "black hole of nothingness that you came out of " you started out as a child in diapers and having no idea about the world or anything in it and as you get old you end up in diapers and having no idea about the world or what is happening around you .Makes sense seeing how as a baby you need so much help to do anything because you have no control over you senses or bodily functions and for old people just go in to the hospital or nursing home its the same thing just more depressing ,moral i think is to live life well you still can do ,feel, smell or taste all the best things in life.

Reality T.V. is Ridiculous

Reality T.V is like a drug to get to get people thinking about something other then there own life .In the rant by Kim Holden she says that reality T.V. is a "temporary respite from the problems in our world" well would you rather watch some guy get hit on by like 20 chicks for an hour or see how US government is "dealing with the middle east"?I think the rising percentage of people watching these shows has a direct influence on and in some peoples lives ether that being the way they act or what all their conversations are about or maybe it's because people are missing something in there in there own lives so they fill it with a lame over scripted T.V show ,In the end tho it doesn't hurt anyone so i guess its up to you if you got nothing better to do why not.

Gossip is a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands but in the right hands it can give valued information about leaders in society .

well gossip in my opinion is worthless information about people who you might know or not know which may give you a blurred view of the person being gossiped about . I guess there is a good side to gossip tho , for those who watch or read those shows and magazines that glorify celebrity's Fat , drug habits and anything else they do or have it gives information (that might not always be true )to the consumer.... O well I guess that isn't good...I feel that such t.v shows and magazines would have to stop all the non conformed allegations against leaders and celebrity's before we have any hope of stopping the non sense many of us have to deal with everyday."Gossip doesn't hurt anyone.".... you might hear some people say this well when was the last time a fight wasn't over someone talking s**t behind someones back? or friends turn to enemy's over night because of one of them said some outrageous comment ?Now I'm not here to rip apart this sector of the entertainment industry but come on if your making money off exposing rich peoples fat you need to have a hardcore one on one with your self .So pretty much if you don't want to get involved in this lame thing called gossip do as the article suggested and just stay focused on your life .

DIAMONDS

The song I picked was " diamonds from sierra leone" by Kanye West and Jay-z . They rap about the connection between the conflict diamonds and the so called 'bling".The picture I found to connect to the song is from a French add against the sale and trade of "blood diamonds". Both the song and the image give a pretty good idea of the damaging effect on the people living in these war torn countries. The shared idea of the song and the image is to show that ,over where we only read about these crimes we don't think to look at our favorite celebrity and wonder who many people might have died so that they can have an"iced out" pendent ,bracelet or rings .
